Eureka(Fest)!!

I don't know about you, but I'm ALWAYS looking for something new, fun and exciting to do with my daughter!  With the rash of crappy weather we've been having here in Boston, the options are dwindling fast!!  Well I've found something that fits the bill for fun and exciting called EurekaFest

Its a special program hosted by the Museum of Science and MIT (yes, the MIT) this Saturday, June 19th at 10 a.m. at the Museum of Science here in Boston.  Apparently there’ll be hands-on engineering activities throughout the exhibit halls, and there's even the chance to pick the brains of Marvel Comics artist Nick Dragotta and professional toy designer Ingrid Dragotta.

High school students from across the country are competing in an all-day design challenge: build wind turbines powerful enough to hoist garbage cans 40 feet to the Museum’s ceiling!  How crazy is that?!?  I think it sounds like a ton of fun and a very cool way to sneak in a little science learning! LOL!

The Museum of Science was always one of my favorite class field trips growing up and I'm so excited to be taking Kassie there for the first time!  If you live in the Boston area you should totally check it out, or if you plan on visiting Boston any time soon, be sure to make the museum one of your stops-you wont be disappointed!

For more info about the Museum of Science, visit their website HERE and be sure to check back this weekend to hear all about our trip to EurekaFest and plenty of pics I'm sure!!!
